Frequently Asked Questions

For which machines are the Ø 406 mm high-grade corundum multi-hole grinding wheels suitable?

The discs fit all standard single-disc machines with a 406 mm drive plate and multi-hole hook-and-loop system, such as Lägler, MENZER, Bona, Wolff, and Columbus. The multi-hole pattern maximizes dust extraction and keeps the sanding surface clean at all times.

What is white fused alumina, and what are its advantages?

White fused alumina is a high-purity form of aluminum oxide with a particularly uniform grain structure. It is sharper and finer than standard brown fused alumina and produces a more uniform finish—ideal for fine grinding on delicate surfaces without leaving deep grinding marks.

What applications are multi-hole grinding wheels suitable for?

These discs are particularly suitable for fine-sanding parquet, laminate, and varnished wood floors, as well as for intermediate sanding between coats of varnish. The multi-hole pattern ensures optimal dust extraction and prevents the abrasive from clogging.

What does "multi-hole" mean, and what are its advantages?

"Multi-hole" means that the sanding disc has many small suction holes distributed across its entire surface. This maximizes dust extraction directly at the sanding surface—the sanding dust is immediately extracted, the disc does not clog, and its service life is significantly longer than that of discs without holes.

What grit size do you recommend for fine sanding before painting?

For the final finishing touch before the first coat of paint, we recommend K100–K120; for intermediate sanding between coats of paint, K150–K180; and for final surface preparation before the last coat, K220–K240. White fused alumina is particularly suitable for these fine grits.
