Frequently Asked Questions

For which machines are the 406 mm grinding wheels suitable?

These discs fit all standard single-disc machines and floor grinders with a 406 mm drive plate, such as Lägler, MENZER, Bona, Wolff, and Columbus. Please check the plate diameter before purchasing.

What does "reversible" mean?

Both sides of the disc are fully coated with silicon carbide. When one side is worn out, simply flip the disc over and continue working at full grinding power. This cuts material usage in half and saves time when changing discs.

What materials are silicon carbide discs suitable for?

These discs are particularly suitable for mineral materials such as screed, concrete, granite, and marble, as well as for building materials such as plaster, joint compound, and Styrofoam. They are also suitable for wood, paint, varnish, and coatings.

What grain size do you recommend for screed?

For the initial grinding of screed, we recommend K16–K24; for intermediate grinding, K36–K60; and for surface preparation prior to sealing, K80–K100. Silicon carbide cuts particularly aggressively and is ideal for hard mineral substrates.

What is the difference between silicon carbide and zirconia corundum?

Silicon carbide is harder and sharper than zirconia corundum and is particularly suitable for brittle, mineral-based materials such as screed and concrete. Zirconia corundum, on the other hand, is self-sharpening and more durable when working with wood and metal.

How long is the delivery time?

We ship from our warehouse in Taufkirchen near Munich within 24 hours via DHL or Hermes. Delivery within Germany takes 1–3 business days.
