Baseboards & radiator covers with a solid wood core
Baseboards & radiator covers with a solid wood core
At Riwo Commerce, you’ll find high-quality baseboards, skirting boards, pipe covers, and radiator covers made with a genuine solid wood core of spruce or pine —no MDF, no particleboard that’s prone to swelling. Our moldings stand out for their stability, durability, and natural wood finish, which adds character to any living space.
Solid wood core instead of MDF — the key difference in quality
Over 80% of all baseboards sold in Germany are made of MDF with a laminate finish. When exposed to moisture, these baseboards swell and lose their shape—a common problem in kitchens, bathrooms, and entryways. Our solid wood core baseboards, on the other hand , are dimensionally stable, sturdy, and durable. The genuine wood core comes from sustainably managed plantations in New Zealand (Pinus radiata and Picea abies)—sustainably sourced and expertly crafted.
Two finish options to suit any interior style
All moldings are available in two high-quality finishes:
- Real oak wood veneer, clear lacquered: Natural wood grain with a warm, classic look — ideal for oak hardwood flooring, oak laminate, and country-style interiors.
- Starkfolie White RAL 9016: A scratch-resistant, washable surface in classic pure white—perfect for modern living spaces, commercial interiors, and renovations.

Frequently Asked Questions
What sets your baseboards apart from inexpensive MDF baseboards?
Our moldings have a genuine solid wood core. MDF moldings are made of compressed wood fiber dust, which swells and warps when exposed to moisture. Solid wood retains its shape permanently and is significantly more durable.
Which mounting method is best?
For smooth, flat walls, we recommend high-quality mounting adhesive. For uneven surfaces or drywall, nails or screws work better. All of our moldings are suitable for all three mounting methods.
Are the moldings suitable for damp areas?
Solid wood moldings with real wood veneer are not ideal for areas with constant moisture, such as showers. For standard living spaces and kitchens, they are significantly better suited than MDF alternatives due to their solid wood core.
Can you also supply custom lengths or custom sizes?
The standard length is 2.44 m. For large-scale projects and special requests, please contact us directly—we’d be happy to explore custom solutions.
How quickly will my order be delivered?
All items are in stock at our Taufkirchen warehouse (near Munich) and are typically shipped within 24 hours.
