Fabric Abrasive Belts: Zirconia, Corundum, and Ceramic
Fabric sanding belts for parquet sanders — Professional quality in three material grades
At Riwo Commerce, you’ll find high-quality fabric sanding belts in the standard size of 200 × 750 mm for all common parquet sanders, as well as 40 × 303 mm for hand-held belt sanders. Our sanding belts come directly from the manufacturer-importer with no middlemen—professional quality at fair prices, often 30% cheaper than German brand-name manufacturers.
Durable polyester base for maximum service life
All of our sanding belts are made from a durable polyester fabric backing combined with a fully synthetic resin bond. This makes them tear-resistant, dimensionally stable, and ideal for continuous professional use. Whether for rough sanding, medium sanding, or finishing—our belts retain their shape and sanding performance throughout their entire service life.
Three premium materials for every application
🔵 Zirconia — the premium choice
Self-sharpening grits with exceptional durability. Ideal for hardwood, oak parquet, and metal. The zirconium coating fractures during sanding, constantly exposing new sharp edges—ensuring consistent sanding performance right to the end. The top choice for professional parquet renovations.
🔴 Corundum (aluminum oxide) — the all-rounder
A trusted classic offering excellent value for money. Suitable for use on wood, painted surfaces, and soft metals. Ideal for medium-duty renovation projects and for regular use by floor installers.
⚪ Premium Ceramic — The High-Performance Class
Features high-performance ceramic elements for maximum removal rate under extreme conditions. The right choice for large surfaces, very hard wood species, or when maximum efficiency is required. Longest service life of the three materials.

Special size for hand belt sanders and smaller belt sanders. Ideal for detailed work, stair treads, door frames, and hard-to-reach areas. Available in aluminum oxide, grit sizes K40 to K120.
Grit Guide: Which Grit for What?
- K24 – K36 (coarse sanding): Initial sanding of heavily damaged or varnished old hardwood floors
- K40 – K60 (medium-coarse): Standard grit for standard parquet renovation
- K80 – K100 (fine sanding): Preparation for sealing or oil application
- K120 (Finish): Intermediate sanding between coats of paint
Tip: For full-scale renovation projects, we recommend keeping a set of three grit sizes on hand (e.g., K40, K60, K100). This allows you to work continuously without interruption.

Frequently Asked Questions About Fabric Sanding Belts
How does zirconia differ from aluminum oxide?
Zirconia-corundum is significantly harder, more durable, and self-sharpening. During grinding, zirconia crystals fracture in such a way that new sharp edges are constantly exposed—hence its long service life. Corundum-aluminum oxide is more affordable and has a proven track record, but it is less durable. For large projects, zirconia usually pays for itself because you use fewer belts.
How long does a sanding belt last in professional use?
This depends heavily on the type of wood, grit size, and machine pressure. A general rule of thumb for zirconia-alumina on oak parquet: 30–50 m² per belt for coarse sanding (K40), and correspondingly more for fine sanding. Alumina belts cover about 60–70% of that area. Ceramic belts can cover 100 m² or more on large surfaces.
What grit size should I use for the first round of sanding on old hardwood floors?
For heavily worn or varnished hardwood floors, start with K24 or K36 for coarse sanding. For floors with normal wear, K40 or K60 is usually sufficient. Then gradually use finer grits (K60 → K80 → K100 for the finish).
Are the belts suitable for all parquet sanders?
Our 200 × 750 mm belts fit all standard professional parquet sanders with this mounting—Lägler Hummel, Bona Belt, Kuenzle & Tasin, and many others. If you have any questions about compatibility, please feel free to contact us.
How quickly will my order be delivered?
