A tried-and-true classic offering excellent value for the price. Suitable for use on wood, painted surfaces, and metal. Ideal for coarse and medium sanding in renovation and DIY projects.

The right grit size determines the sanding speed and surface quality:
- K24 – K36 (coarse grit): Initial material removal, paint removal, heavily soiled floors
- K40 – K60 (medium-coarse): Standard grit for parquet renovation
- K80 – K100 (fine sanding): Preparation for surface sealing
- K120 – K240 (Finish): Intermediate sanding and final smoothing before applying the finish

Frequently Asked Questions About Hook-and-Loop Sanding Discs
What does "hook-and-loop" mean in the context of sanding discs?
Hook-and-loop sanding discs are attached to the sanding machine's backing pad using a hook-and-loop fastening system. This allows for tool-free changes in a matter of seconds—ideal for frequently changing grits during a single operation.
What grit size is best for the initial treatment of old hardwood floors?
For heavily worn or varnished hardwood floors, start with K24 or K36 for coarse sanding. For floors that are only slightly worn, K40 or K60 is sufficient for the initial sanding. Then use progressively finer grits up to K100/120 for the final sanding.
How does zircon differ from corundum?
Zirconia-corundum is significantly harder, more durable, and self-sharpening—the premium choice for hardwood and metal. Corundum-alumina is the tried-and-true all-rounder that offers good value for the money. For large projects, zirconia often pays for itself because you use fewer discs.
Are the discs also suitable for stainless steel?
Yes—our zirconia-alumina and ceramic abrasives are specifically designed for use in stainless steel and metalworking. Alumina discs can be used on painted metal surfaces, but are less suitable for bare stainless steel.
How quickly will my order be delivered?
All standard hook-and-loop sanding discs are available from our warehouse in Taufkirchen (near Munich) and are typically shipped within 24 hours.
